Nancy Bowen is an Associate Professor and Field Specialist for Community Economics for Ohio State University Extension. Her areas of program specialization include Business Retention & Expansion (BRE), strategic planning, entrepreneurship, workforce development, economic impact analysis, and renewable energy development. Nancy obtained a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans in 1990. In 1993 she became a certified economic developer (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council. She has over 35 years experience in the field of community economic development. In December of 2014, Nancy was named the recipient of the Raymond A. Schindler Excellence in Community Development Extension Award.
