AD Update:

Interim Assignment:  Opportunities and Challenges

You may have noticed a note from Director Keith Smith last Friday, mentioning a new temporary assignment for me as Assistant Director, Agriculture and Natural Resources. This interim role is in addition to my current CD role and, like most anything new, will present opportunities and challenges. I’ll have a chance to learn the ways of administering the ANR program and identify practices that our CD team might use to enhance the way we carry out our work. Of course, part of the challenge will involve me figuring out how to be in two places at once, too! : ) Fortunately, we are an organization comprised of very capable colleagues who are leading in ways that advance the larger organizational and unit efforts. Now more than ever, I very much appreciate your contributions and I hope for your understanding during this interim. Exactly what I will be getting into with this role remains largely unknown, but I aim to do my best to assist in your professional pursuits, carry on what we have started in CD, and support the needs of ANR professionals until a permanent AD can assume responsibilities. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
