During the week of July 20th, Godwin Apaliyah, PhD, OSU Extension educator for community development in Fayette County, distributed personal protective equipment (PPE) safety toolkits to local small businesses. The toolkits were donated by JobsOhio and distributed by the Dayton Development Coalition (DDC), a regional economic development group, via county economic development offices. Ohio State University Extension-Community Development was privileged to be part of this project, distributing a total of 30 PPE kits to small businesses in Fayette County. Each toolkit, valued at $100, included 100 disposable 3–ply face coverings, 10 KN95 masks, and a bottle of hand sanitizer.
This goodwill gesture provided PPE supplies to small businesses in Fayette County so they can remain safeguarded and work within Ohio’s protection guidelines during its phased reopening. The owners and employees of these small businesses have endured extraordinary economic and health challenges during this COVID-19 pandemic. |
JobsOhio, a private nonprofit corporation designed to vigorously stimulate job creation and new capital investment in Ohio through business attraction, retention, and expansion efforts, in collaboration with its network partners Dayton Development Coalition, was delighted to provide small businesses the PPE toolkits to assist them in their efforts to go back to work and operate safely.
